What can the user expect from a Dialog search? Analysis of the literature of a silicate engineering problem

Abstract

The results of a series of online searches in analyzed, performed by the Central Library of the Veszprém University of Chemistry, in the CA SEARCH database of the Dialog system. The objective of the searches was to find and map the literature of a specific subject field in the silicate technology. The results prove that the literature could not have been explored by traditional searches to the relational depth achived by the online technique.
