The dHUpla Platform
Digital Text Editions and Research Support in the Humanities
Abstract
The Digital Humanities Platform, also called dHUpla, is developed at the Digital Humanities Centre of the National Széchényi Library, which aims to process and publish manuscript resources, mainly in Hungarian, held in public collections. The service aims to create an unified, freely accessible research environment for researchers in literary studies, linguistics and other humanities.
This paper focuses on the research support role of digital text editions, highlighting the new text management opportunities offered by the change of the medium, while referring to the benefits and the challenges of the text editions workflow.
