Overview of integrated library systems and library services platforms available in Europe

Abstract

The study aims at providing an overview on the use of integrated library systems and library services platforms in libraries in European countries, based on available and reliable sources. The paper focuses primarily on larger (academic and public) libraries. The data from the known, comprehensive sources have been supplemented by a considerable amount of data, which was collected through seeking additional sources and making personal contacts. The information has been organised and tables and charts have been used to make it as clear and accessible as possible. It would have been useful to expand the data collection, as far as possible, to avoid potentially inaccurate information based on incomplete reporting by the sources used. Therefore, we welcome any feedback that could help refine and complete the data collected.
