Organizational self-assessment of university libraries according to the requirements of KMÉR and ESG 2015
Abstract
This study supports the organizational self-assessment process of university
libraries. The compilation expands the evaluation criteria of KMÉR by
identifying concrete examples relevant to the university sector. University
libraries are closely connected to their parent institutions, contributing data
and information to the university's quality management and accreditation
processes based on the ESG 2015 framework. This comprehensive selfassessment
is supported by the collection that summarizes the quality
assurance guidelines and standards of the European Higher Education
Area, along with related issues that can also be examined within university
libraries. The study reviews and presents the points of connection,
illustrating how the quality management documentation of university
libraries – prepared in accordance with the KMÉR criteria – aligns with the
university's quality management system and the ESG 2015 standards that
define quality assurance in higher education.
