Language, knowledge, home: books in Hungarian on the shelves of the University of Prešov

Abstract

The University Library of the University of Presov is a modern academic institution with deep roots in centuries-old educational and cultural traditions. Over the past decades, it has developed into a dynamic scholarly library with an extensive collection, a broad range of services, and vibrant cultural programming. Of particular importance is the library of the Institute of Hungarian Language and Culture, which holds over 4,000 Hungarian-language volumes and plays a key role in preserving and transmitting linguistic and cultural knowledge. The institute's collection spans multiple academic disciplines and serves not only educational purposes, but also actively contributes to the advancement of scholarly activity and reading culture.
