Translation and interpretation

Abstract

It is to be regretted that up to the present in Hungary not a single scientific organization or institution is engaged with manmade translation and interpretation as a real probles respectively a field denanding intensive research. The main reason of this shortcoming is ignoranoe. The author therefore lists the comprehensive and high-level requirements towards language media, and explains the main characteristics of translation and interpretation activities. The study includes also a selective bibliography on the literature.
