Kev-titles and the ISSN. Their importance in the international registration of periodical pubications

Abstract

Efficient functioning of the ISDN /International Serials Data System/ is based on authentic data supplied by national centres. The two most important data for identification of periodical publications are the key-title and the ISSN /International Standard Serial Number/. The article describes their development and describes some problems concerning ISSN.
