The tasks of bibliometrics

Abstract

The author comments the artiele by P. Györe A few word about bibliometrics (published in Tudományos Műszaki Tájékoztatás, Vol. 21, No. 8-9, 1974. p. 598¬604.) concerning practícal application of bibliometrics. In library practice bibliometrics can be applied to: library statistics; forecasting capability; the Bradford law of scattering; the number of authots of publications; citation indexes and time balances.
