Abstract

The Library of the HAS has started a new bibliographic information search service, based on the CD-ROM database of Dissertation Abstracts Ondisk produced by the University Microfilms International, USA. The significance of the CD-ROM technique in the age of "information explosion" is analyzed, and the information value of Dissertation Abstracts and dissertations or theses generatív is discussed.
