Publishing activities of the Library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences

Abstract

The Library of HAS has been known as a scientific workshop and publishing house as well, in addition to its traditional library functions and services. Its publishing duties of three decades have produced various serials like Proceedings, Manuscript Holding Catalogues, Oriental Studies, Budapest Oriental Reprints, Informatics and Science Analysis as well as monographs and periodicals (Research and Development, ECSSID Bulletin, Analecta Lingulstica. Hunglnfo). The publishing functions is determined by its acedmic nature. i.e., its scope is directed toward documentation science, broad intormation services, history of the Academy and the Library, publication of valuable pieces of our natlonal history. The publishing functions unify the services and the creative activities of the Library of HAS.
