On special libraries in companies

Abstract

Special libraries in for-profit organizations like those of industrial or trade enterprises face the problem of "to be or not to be", as a consequence of social and economic changes going on in Hungary. The following considerations are proposed for decision makers in order to save the "to be" state: special library, or information supply; information ordering, or own information department; librarian, or information manager. The decision following the analysis should be individual or custom designed for a given company of enterprise.
