End user searches in bibliographic CD-ROM databases

Abstract

The use of bibliographic CD-ROM databases in the Constanz University Library, FRG, has been surveyed. Their acceptance by librarians and library clients were evaluated. Consequences regarding CD-ROM acquisition and the associated costs have been drawn from the survey. The results of the survey was compared with data published in the literature.
