Public online catalogue of the Bielefeld University Library on CD-ROM

Abstract

The management of BUL. FRG. decided in 1987 to establish public online catalogue on CD-ROM of the library's collection. Less than a year was needed to install the CD-ROM catalogue. The realization process of this project and the positive experiences collected since its installation are described. The continuous development ol the catalogue as well as other CD-ROM products available in BUL are discussed.
