Indexed eponymical citedness
Abstract
Eponymical citedness problems raised in the series of papers in this journal by E. Száva-Kováts are analysed further. It is shown through several examples taken from the area of physics in a broad sense as processed by the INSPEC database that eponymical citedness can be regarded to be significantly indexed in bibliographic databases, at least to a degree as formai citedness is indexed in the citation index. Rather than to restrict the validity of citedness examinations, it is suggested to compliment them with eponymical citedness data.
