Hypertext systems

Abstract

Some important problems associated with recently emerging information technologies, hypertext and multimedia, are discussed. A brief history is presented showing motivation and ways leading to the development of these new technologies. It is followed by a description of hardware and software requirements of hypertext, and of types of hypertext relations. Some implemented systems available also in Hungary are shown.
