Electronic information services in the Commission of the European Communities

Abstract

The Commission of the European Communities recognises the need for efficient and timely communication of information on Community activities to as wide a public as possible. Information services include the Spokesman/Press Service, the Office for Official Publications, the Statistical Office, and the CEC host organisations Eurobases and ECHO. Sources of tradi-tional printed information are given, as well as detaiis of the online databases available from the various producers via the respective hosts.
