Bibliographic description of CD-ROM products

Abstract

Bibliographic description of optical disks within the scope of library collection can be prepared according to the ISBD international rules. Because relevant Hungarian standards are not available, libraries can introduce various approaches of their own catatoging practices. Therefore, standardization must be pursued. The author presents proposals in this direction for descriptive cataloging in traditional card catalogues, in the ALEPH and MARC formats.
