To pay or not to pay? Fee-based and free library services

Abstract

An international problem in libraries and infor¬mation institutes is the „free vs fee" issue, the proportion, composilion, structure etc. of fee-based versus free or semi-free services. Its importance is proved by the annual conference on this topic. Four selected subjects are discussed from the 1999 Fourth International Conference of Fee-based Information Services. They are:

> Preparing efficient business plan for fee-based information services
> Price and cost calculation for fee-based information services
