Electronic journals in Oxford
Abstract
In the last years, publishers have appeared on the market with the electronic versions of their journals. This evolution has created a challenge for both subscription agencies and libraries. The author discusses, through the example of the Oxford University Library playing an outstanding role in the UK, the trends and problems with the acquisition and subscription of electronic journals. as well as the technological and organizational requirements for their use.
