Library system - document supply

Abstract

Following professional and publication activities for several decades of years, the author completed his Ph.D thesis in 2001, titled The national central services of library system with special regard to document delivery, defended successfully in November 2001. The essential findings of the disser-tation was published in the Librarians' Manuál, Vol. 3., under the title The library system. In this study the author summarizes his main ideas and his actual concerns in January 2002. The substance of these ideas are that several actions and solutions of actual problems should be placed on the agenda of librarianship as soon as possible for the effective, user-oriented and economic operation of the library system in Hungary.
