Information retrieval thesaurus of Hungarian kind of words

Abstract

The construction of a thesaurus of kind of words/form class generates a number of special issues which are not covered by professional lite-rature. In a thesaurus, kinds of words need to be classified into hierarchical structures. Generic hie-rarchies can only be established with the introduc-tion of new general terms of kinds of words. The new terminology is also necessary for the setting up of a new ontology of kind of words/form class. This article deals with the special structure of kind of words, the main steps of its construction, its use and its potential for further development.
