Defining fees for joint subscriptions in the EIS National Programme

Abstract

The Electronic Information Services National Programme (EIS) is the national consortium in Hungary. In some years the number of libraries participating and databases subscribed has increased very much. In 2009, the Programme Committee decided to collect financial contribution from the consortium members (matching funds called “self-shares”). In 2016, EIS subscribed to 26 databases for 170 member institutes. The paper focuses on how to divide costs among consortium members and how to calculate self-shares and.
