Abstract

Infographics are an integral and popular part of our daily lives, assist fast and clear orientation, and influence communities online as marketing tools. The study presents and analyses infographics from the United States of America, with the aim to review main statistical data and major trends in public library development in the US. The goals of the article are, however, much more comprehensive. Best practices are published to promote the production of library infographics in Hungary, and to stimulate the distribution of high-quality content. The authors are convinced that Hungarian librarianship wishes to influence decision-makers, as well as to improve both professional public relations and the image of libraries/librarians by this modern method.
