Presenting digital content in three dimensions in a web-based environment: CSS3D and X3D
Abstract
The article presents in detail two main standards and specifications, CSS3D and X3D. Both are solid enough to ensure real-time, spectacular and interactive 3D presentation of content, of either museum objects or library webpages, among others. 3D technology has become an organic part of web 3.0. Its application allows the creation of complete virtual spaces in which any digital object can be presented.
