Parasite journals, the predators of the world of science

Abstract

With the emergence of open access, not only has the number of freely available authentic publications increased, but this involved the appearance of the predators of the world of science, the so-called parasite (or predatory) journals. The study presents the reasons for their evolution, their operating principles and effective protection against them.
