About a conference – Szolnok, November 30–December 1, 2018

Abstract

The Publika Hungarian Library Group aims, among others, to support the disadvantaged members of society in acquiring information and knowledge required for their daily lives, work and culture. To this end, Publika organizes events for developing and improving library and information services, and participates in joint actions with other institutions. In November last year Publika organized a conference entitled "Libraries for serving disadvantaged people" together with the Verseghy Ferenc Library, Szolnok. Providing library services to disadvantaged members of the society is a current issue today, which has, however, been with us for a long time now.
