Abstract

In the functioning and services of libraries the needs of the community served are becoming more and more emphasized, and it is increasingly felt that new approaches, new ways of thinking and problem-solving methods are needed for complying with challenges and for advancement. In this article the author wishes to deepen the knowledge of community-driven service planning – described in detail in her articles published in library science journals during 2018 –, and to expand the community-driven toolkit for creating and operating libraries by introducing a new method (design thinking).
