The current situation and development plans of the Ráday Library

Abstract

On January 23, 2019 the building of the Ráday Collection of the Danubian District of the Hungarian Reformed Church was badly damaged in a fire. This event opened a new era in the life of the Ráday Collection. The Ráday Collection consists of an archive, a special library and two museum units. The catastrophe hit the archive and the library, however, the fire did not impact the holdings, the damages were caused mainly by water and smoke during the extinction of fire. The grievest consequence of this event was that the Collection had to leave its building.
