Processing practice of the University Library and Knowledge Centre, Pécs in the light of subject indexing

Abstract

Focusing on the practice of subject indexing, the study presents the way to establishing the Knowledge Centre, its major milestones, and the current challenges: emergence, flowering, and cessation of the system of subject specialists; the impact of university integration on the workflows of collection organization; the transformation caused by the new integrated library created in 2010; as well as problems and constant changes.
