Abstract

The late György Hazai, Turkologist and Orientalist – deceased in 2016 – left a rich intellectual and cultural heritage to his successors and posterity. His daughters made his bequest accessible for Hungarian and international researchers and all those interested. The Hazai György Library is located in the one-time home of Professor Hazai. The collection was arranged and catalogued with the help of students from the Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Arts Institute of Librarianship and Information Science and the Turkish Philology Department. The study describes the steps of cataloguing the collection, the issues emerging during the project and the lessons learnt.
