On the justification for and benefit of the National Namespace

Abstract

Digital transformation provides an opportunity to build out national culture in its fulness and complexity in digital space. An important tool for this construction is the use of national namespaces which ensure interoperability between the databases of public collections and other ones in culture. The article presents in which fields and in what respects the use of namespaces can benefit the policy related to national memory.
