Abstract

According to the MTMT (the Hungarian Scientific Bibliography Database), Hungarian researchers published nearly 28,000 journal articles in 2021 in the international and national journals, with funding from the scientific committees of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS) dealing with the humanities and social sciences. As the proportion of articles indexed in WoS and Scopus is low, many publications by scientists in the humanities and social sciences are not taken into account as performance of the funding indicators in case of universities maintained by foundations and churches. To change this unfavourable situation, it would be good to introduce DOI identifiers for journals supported by HAS, followed by other WoS and Scopus criteria.
