Abstract

"Tell me what you read, and I tell you who you are, I tell you what your will, your goal, your desire, your dream is." – this thought of the poet Gyula Juhász could be the motto of our readership survey, as it expresses its motivation in a simple and straightforward way. However, such a statement gives a picture of not only individuals, but it also reflects the spirit, interests and objectives of a given era. As the journal Tudományos és Műszaki Tájékoztatás (TMT) has been using since December 2016 the Open Journal Systems for its management, its database allows us to obtain accurate readership data. Our findings reflect both the general and specific interests of the library profession. Reviewing the most popular topics, we receive a colourful summary of recent key achievements, innovations and professional issues of interest to librarians. The article marks the seventieth anniversary of the journal.
