Greetings of the 70-year-old TMT

Abstract

BME OMIKK - similarly to other libraries - is under great pressure to introduce new forms of information management.

Borrowing books, providing learning spaces and licensing digital content are still central services, but there is also an increasing demand for support for new publishing activities. Services related to open access, digital editions, the compilation of data management plans, the provision of research software or the care and preservation of data have become critically important. There is no question that libraries want to be the central factors in the provision of educational and scientific information in their institutions also in the future. The Library and Information Science Journal (TMT) tries to provide assistance for the realization of these aspirations and the exchange of information. The journl is edited and published by the National Technical Information Center and Library of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME OMIKK).
