Personal Data Management and Security in Adult Education
Abstract
The national system of adult education has undergone major changes in recent years.
While the legal framework fundamentally changed the opportunities and obligations of adult trainers, it was also necessary to adapt to the restrictive measures introduced due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These two factors together contributed to the structural transformation of adult education. While the number of adult trainers increased significantly due to the change in regulations, the restrictive measures taken to curb the epidemic accelerated digitization, and more and more adult education provider turned to online distance learning. The personal data provided by the students are therefore not only stored digitally due to legal obligations, but also for the purpose of conducting the courses.
The range of data services has expanded, it is no longer enough to provide anonymous data on training participants, which - together with the increase in the number of adult trainers - results in the movement of a significant amount of data, including personal data.
