"Memories in a digital format"

Abstract

A presentation of the digitisation processes introduced in the Local History Collection of the Bródy Sándor Library, Eger, focusing on the processing of moving images. The aim of the data recovery processes was to archive and make digitised objects searchable. The primary objective was to preserve and contextualize the archival holdings of the TV Eger, which was achieved in practice by creating a digital repository from metadata files. The practical implementation of the schemes and methods developed has opened up a way forward to the introduction of a new service for the general public, which will allow the creation of digital copies of different types of media.
