Previously, she was an university assistant at the University of Graz and a senior lecturer at the University of Vienna. Her research focuses on applied basic research in educational science, historical educational research with a focus on life-reform, the women's movement and teacher training, ethics and aesthetics, geragogy, as well as innovative forms of teaching and learning in higher education didactics. She is co-editor of the series “Erziehung in Wissenschaft und Praxis” (Education in Science and Practice) published by PeterLang Verlag.
